Sound of Sight

Sound of Sight is a 2D top-down action game built in Unity 6 with the Universal Render Pipeline. Every room is pitch black — your combat abilities (slash, shoot, dash, light wave) produce the only light, which reveals enemies. The catch: once an enemy sees light, it stays active and chases you permanently, even in total darkness. Every attack you make irreversibly escalates the threat.

Features two game modes: a hand-crafted story level and a procedurally generated endless mode with progressive scaling (rooms grow from 30×22 to 65×45 tiles, enemies scale from 3 to 20). Procedural generation uses a hybrid Random Walk + BSP algorithm, with an A* pathfinder for hunt-mode enemies. All HUD panels (HP pips, ammo counts, minimap radar, room counter) are built entirely in code — no prefab wiring required. Built collaboratively with a team of 5.
